Association for Cultural Relations ry

Founded in 2017 the Association for Cultural Relations is focusing on promotion of culture within and beyond the borders, based in Espoo, Finland.
The main focus of the ACR is to foster intercultural dialogue, cooperation between intracultural entities, aiming to promote recognition and protection of cultural diversity, preserving tangible and intangible heritage, promotion of cultural values through all of its forms and endorsement of Human Rights.

The main objectives of the association is to participate in international projects, trainings and events of various topics in order to take benefits from valuable formal and non-formal education opportunities available for young people in Finland and abroad. The organisation mainly focuses on youth participation, intercultural understanding, active citizenship, entrepreneurship, peace-building, but also art and culture.
The long-term aim of the organisation is to be involved more actively in international cooperation on various non-formal programmes by organising seminars and mobility of youth workers.

The interdisciplinary team of the ACR combines experiences of civic involvement for democracy with intercultural expertise based on work and volunteering background and cooperation with local NGOs and educational institutions, governmental bodies, and diverse international partners.

The Association for Cultural Relations is a newly established organisation of young people focusing on the understanding of cultural diversity of Europe, the promotion of international mobility and strengthening of participation of youth in social and cultural spheres. In spite of the short-term of existence, the members had chance to take part in several European programmes and to work in the fields of education and information (meetings, seminars, interactive workshops and educational games).
